My first professionally published book after ten years of handmade booklets. The story unfolds in the Middle East, during the first stage of my hitchhiking journey around the world. The idea of crossing Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, Turkey, Syria, and Egypt by hitchhiking emerged as a personal crusade to showcase the solidarity of their people and dismantle the media stereotypes built by the establishment to justify its wars.
It’s also a collection of absurd episodes — from sleeping in a Bedouin camp to having tea in a minefield.
